The Korea Satellite Operations Centeris responsible for efficiently and economically providing satellite information obtained through the integrated management and stable operation of the nation's low-orbit satellites to the public and private sectors.

Established in response to the rapidly increasing demand for satellite operations and the expanding use of satellites by various government agencies, the center maximizes the value of domestic satellite data through the comprehensive operation of low-orbit satellites that have a significant impact on national security and the economy.

The center is located in Gujwa-eup, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, the southernmost part of Korea, and is equipped with optimal conditions for the country's first satellite observation, providing a favorable environment for image quality control and radio wave security.

Established in November 2022 by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Intelligence Service, the center has been operated by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute, and in May 2024, it became part of the Korea AeroSpace Administration, playing a pivotal role in korea satellite operations.
